WinCAMS User Group Conference 2024 - North

Our goal is to go deeper into WinCAMS and have every attendee leave the conference knowing not only what WinCAMS can do, but also how to do it. To that end:

    a. WinCAMS Basics -- the first session of the first day will be a "basic training" session. The goal is to get everyone familiar with navigation, searching, directories, adding records, etc. Experienced users that choose to attend will likely learn something new in the process, and new users will hopefully reach a level of understanding that allows them to get the most out of the rest of the sessions.
 
    b. Start to Finish sessions -- WinCAMS has a depth and breadth that can be overwhelming. Many users give us feedback that they know they are not using it to its potential, but they are unsure how to dig deeper. Our goal is to truly run through important WinCAMS processes from beginning to end. Example sessions (subject to change):
Create a new user and set up security
Create a new employee and set up rates
Create a project, charge time to the project, post the time, bill the project, and work the AR 
Enter timecards, submit them, login as the supervisor, approve the TC, etc
Module runthroughs
    c. New projects -- We plan to demo some of our newest functionality like Mobile & Web time entry, new barcoding hardware and apps for inventory, and more. 
    c. User-Defined sessions -- The agenda will contain one or more open session slots. Prior to the conference (and possibly at the conference), we will solicit requests from users about areas they would like to cover in these sessions.

The goal is to have every attendee walk away from the conference with the ability to use WinCAMS more deeply and efficiently, and choose session topics which are useful to the majority of the attendees.

 
The conferences are a great way to:

    1. See what is new in CAMS -- We will cover all our development efforts from the previous year
    2. Learn how to get more out of CAMS -- This software is big and broad. There will be review segments dedicated to helping users get the most out of CAMS.
    3. Connect and network with other CAMS users -- most CAMS users face similar challenges and tasks in managing their departments and workload.
    4. Direct our development for the following year -- The vast majority of our enhancements stem from user suggestions and requests. Many of our regular attendees have become accustomed to seeing their suggestions from the conference appear on their screens a few months later.
